Since December 2010, the Tanimu Foundation has also provided free health services, as well as education for the medical community. Being a gastroenterologist in the U.S., Dr. Tanimu offers a series of free endoscopic procedures each year at the National Hospital Abuja or Benue State University Teaching Hospital in Nigeria. This includes upper endoscopy and colonoscopies for several patients. While providing these treatments, he also works closely with the hospital’s doctors and residents and offers lectures on the latest practices in gastroenterology.

Dr. Tanimu intends to continue this work and expand medical support to the National Hospital Abuja and Benue State University Teaching Hospital, as well as others in the future. Corporate sponsors from the U.S. medical community have also donated medical and surgical supplies. Such donations are welcome. To provide medical products or funds towards this effort, please contact the foundation.
